The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. Baujan Field – the historic home of UD soccer – has an atmosphere and attendance figures unmatched in both the conference and the region.
The assistant coach will support the head coach in nearly all aspects of the men’s soccer program. The assistant coach will primarily instruct, train and coach student-athletes on the collegiate soccer game and skills required; instruct student-athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations. This coaching position will also assist in recruiting quality Division I student-athletes and will assist the head coach in leadership duties including team composition, competition strategies and peak performance. The assistant coach will also assist in program operations, including travel arrangements and video needs and will perform additional duties related to coaching (e.g., compliance education, budget management, equipment procurement, fund raising and other duties as assigned by head coach). The assistant coach should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics. This is a full time, 12-month position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
