The position as Assistant Director of Coaching will assist the Director of Coaching to promote, develop, support and help grow soccer programs. The main focus of the ADOC is with the Star Subsidiary Clubs and the Premier program, working to create a healthy playing environment in which players grow individually.
Maintain Weekly Office Hours
Answering emails and phone calls.
Help keep website up to date with coaching player information.
Create Club & Player Blog
Premier Program—Player Development and Implementation of Curriculum (BRSL Representative)
Subsidiary Club Player Development and Implementation of Curriculum
Help oversee partner club relationships under the Star Logo
Weekly Field Hours
Facilitate & Coordinate Star Camps with DOC
Facilitate & Coordinate Star Clinics with DOC
Facilitate & Coordinate Star Winter Training Program with DOC
Facilitate & Coordinate Team Tryouts
Coach a minimum of 2 teams (CCL travel & tournament travel included)
Participate in all required staff and coach meetings
Assist and promote all club tournaments
Assist with club marketing projects
Propose Strategic initiatives to grow the programs
Will assist in the office with general operations coordinated with the DOC and Executive Director.
Assist with any other duties that the DOC, Executive Director or Board of Directors request.
Any coaching or soccer affiliation outside of Roanoke Star will have to be approved by the DOC or Executive Director. Pre-approved programs are as follows;
VYSA Coaching Education (F, E, D courses) and NSCAA courses. The Executive Director needs to be kept informed of dates that you are teaching courses.
