The Executive Director will be the primary contact person and responsible for day-to-day operations of FC Peoria, with a job function akin to that of an athletic director at a high school/college. In that role, the Executive Director will be expected to create and maintain positive relationships and communications with coaches, players and parents, as well as other soccer clubs, market FC Peoria within the local community, oversee fundraising and revenue production, and manage, supervise and evaluate all other FC Peoria employees, including the Director(s) of Coaching.
The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors to promote and extend FC Peoria’s mission, visions, goals, programs and services.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a sports management, business or related field, and five years of managerial and supervisory experience with a soccer club or other athletic program is required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Soccer coaching and/or playing at travel team, high school, collegiate or professional level is preferred.
Additional Salary Information: The Executive Director position is a full-time, salary-exempt position, with a starting base salary of between $40,000 - $45,000 (commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications), with possibility of bonuses based on metrics such as coaching recruitment/retention and revenue generated by certain FC Peoria activities/programs and fundraising.
